Resurface your pool deck with H&C® DURA-TOP™ Concrete Resurfacer — a dual-component cementitious overlay that turns worn, cracked, or plain concrete into a beautiful, slip-resistant surface. We mix the texture with H&C DURA-TOP™ Texture Resin and hopper-gun it across your slab, building a strong, abrasion-resistant deck that stands up to sun, water, and pool chemicals for years. Choose how it gets its color: an integral color pack mixed straight into the texture, or a rolled topcoat in any Sherwin-Williams shade — with H&C® Cool Feel® available as a premium upgrade for a cooler walking surface.
Two Ways to Finish
Both share the same H&C DURA-TOP texture base — the difference is how color is applied.
Integral Color Pack
A pre-blended H&C DURA-TOP™ Color Pack is mixed straight into the texture during application. The color is built into the surface itself — no separate topcoat needed.
- Look: Earth-toned, slightly mottled — color is part of the texture, not a layer on top of it.
- Wear: Won't show scratches or wear-through the way a thin topcoat can.
- Color range: Choose from H&C's curated set of color-pack tones.
- Best for: A natural, broken-in concrete look that ages gracefully.
Rolled Topcoat
We install the texture in its natural gray, let it cure, then roll on a tinted topcoat in any Sherwin-Williams color you choose. Wider color range — and the topcoat can be refreshed later without redoing the texture.
- Look: Solid, even, saturated color — closer to a painted finish.
- Refresh: Topcoat can be reapplied down the road to renew color or change it entirely.
- Color range: Any Sherwin-Williams color, or the H&C Cool Feel® standard palette below.
- Best for: Specific color matches — pairing with house trim, pool tile, or a designer palette.
- Slip resistance: Optional H&C® SharkGrip® additive can be mixed into the final topcoat for extra grip — without changing the color (see below).

Premium Upgrade: H&C® Cool Feel®
Upgrade your topcoat to H&C® Cool Feel® — a self-crosslinking acrylic finish with Comfort Step Technology™ that reduces surface temperature in direct sun, so bare feet and paws stay comfortable poolside. It's also stain-resistant, UV-protected, and built to withstand pool chemicals. Choose a Cool Feel standard color below, or have it tinted at Sherwin-Williams to match any color in their lineup.

Optional Add-On: H&C® SharkGrip® Slip-Resistant Additive
The textured DURA-TOP base coat already grips well wet or dry. For rolled topcoats — especially around pools where the deck stays wet, shaded areas where water lingers, or homes with kids and pets — we can mix in H&C® SharkGrip®, a micronized polymer that increases the topcoat's coefficient of friction without changing its color or feel. It's a slip-resistance enhancer (the manufacturer is honest that it's not a hard non-skid coating), and we recommend it as a default for most pool deck topcoats.
